Our Principle Team Members
ABIC’s core team is comprised of the following individuals:
Rasoul Dorri

Mr. Rasoul Dorri is an industry veteran with over 35 years
of experience in advising both the public and private
sectors.
For over two decades Mr. Dorri was the local partner for
PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Iran overseeing numerous
large scale transactions in various strategic sectors.

In his role as a consultant Mr. Dorri has been involved in
many large scale transactions, advising clients on
different parts of the deal cycle, ranging from due
diligence, structuring and financial close. He is also an
expert in Iranian tax law with years of experience working
with the Ministry or in consulting capacity outside the
Ministry.
His expertise is recognized throughout the industry and
he has served on the board of various multinational
companies.

Mr. Dorri is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales, associate of the Canadian Chartered
Accounts and a member of the Iranian Chartered Public
Accountants.
Homan Harandian

Homan Harandian is co-founder and a Director of ABIC.
Mr. Harandian is an experienced project developer,
advising and assisting both foreign and local investors
with regards to investment opportunities in Iran where he
has been involved with various transactions throughout
the deal continuum ranging from planning and strategy to
due diligence, valuation, negotiation, closing and post
deal structuring.

He has in-depth knowledge and understanding of the
Telecommunication and Power sectors and has advised
both private sector investors as well as the government of
Iran on over half a billion US dollars of PPP (Public to
Private Partnership) projects in areas such as power
generation, power transmission and GSM
telecommunication networks.

Mr. Harandian holds an MBA degree from ESLSCA,
France and Bachelors of Science from University of
Colorado.
Ali Ghasemi

Mr. Ali Ghasemi is an attorney at law and a member of
the Iranian Bar Association Union. He has over 10
years of experience advising clients on various
transaction including corporate finance issues.

He has extensive knowledge of the automotive industry
and has advised the Iranian government in its
negotiations for expansion of the Iranian automotive
industry’s activity aboard.
Mr. Ghasemi has advised both private and public
sector in preparation and negotiation of various turnkey
contract as well as PPP projects and has an in-depth
knowledge of Iranian regulatory environment especially
as it relates to foreign investment and privatization
issues.

Mr. Ghasemi holds an M.A. in law from University of
Shahid Beheshti and a B.A. from Tehran University.
He has published various books and articles related to
his field of interest and translated a guide to
preparation of tender documents for turnkey projects
based on international practices.
M. Rahbari

Mr. Rahbari joined ABIC in 2008; his main focus over the
past two decades has been financing projects in the
petrochemical as well as the oil & gas sector. He has
served as the Chairman and CEO of National Iran Gas
Export Co. (NIGEC). Mr. Rahbari was also a member of
National Petrochemical Company of Iran’s (NPC) board of
directors and until late 2008, he was head of NPC Int'l in
London.

He has represented NPC in most of international
negotiations regarding financing Iranian petrochemical
projects. Furthermore during 1994-96 he was chairman
and CEO of Petrochemical Industrial Investment Co.

Mr. Rahabri’s other experiences include serving as
deputy minister of housing and urban development as well
as the technical deputy at the Budget and Plan
Organisation. He became a board member of National
Iranian Steel Co. and executive director of Ahvaz Steel
Co. projects in 1984-88. In 1996-98 he was managing
director and board member of the Mines & Metals
Development Investment Co.
